Welcome and Registration

Meet the team, settle into the programme and get to know other young people in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Collaborative Canvas

Working together as a group, young people will create a large collaborative artwork using a variety of creative techniques. This special legacy piece will remain on display at Bell Lane Youth Centre, giving everyone the opportunity to contribute to something lasting.

Week Two

Tuesday 28 July

Canvas Art

Using acrylic paints and marker pens, young people will create their own abstract canvas, following step-by-step guidance to produce a finished piece to take home.

Rich Tea Biscuit Decorating

Decorate biscuits using colourful icing and toppings while developing creativity, confidence and fine motor skills.

Wednesday 29 July

Stencil Art

Create colourful artwork using blending techniques and stencils to explore different artistic styles and creative expression.

Rice Crispy Cake Making

Measure, mix and decorate delicious rice crispy cakes while learning simple cooking skills.

Friday 31 July

Sensory Toy Making

Create sensory toys using a range of textures and materials, encouraging creativity and sensory exploration.

Cupcake Decorating

Decorate cupcakes using colourful icing and toppings while developing creativity and fine motor skills.

Week Three

Tuesday 4 August

Paper Lantern Making

Create a decorative paper lantern using decoupage techniques with PVA glue. Young people will take home a unique lantern that can be used as a decoration or lampshade.

Pancake Fun

Prepare and decorate pancakes while learning basic cooking skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Wednesday 5 August

Canvas Art

Continue developing painting techniques by creating another abstract canvas using acrylic paints and marker pens.

Fruit Exploration

Explore a variety or fruits through tasting, preparing and creative activities that encourage healthy eating and sensory exploration.

Friday 7 August

Dance Session

Take part in fun dance activities that encourage movement, confidence and self-expression.

Cake Baking

Learn the basics of baking while developing practical kitchen skills and teamwork.

Week Four

Tuesday 11 August

Slime Making

Experiment with different ingredients to create your own slime while enjoying sensory play.

Pastry Making

Prepare and create simple pastries while learning practical cooking skills.

Wednesday 12 August

Planet Making

Design and create your own planets using arts and crafts while exploring space through creative play.

Muffin Making

Bake delicious muffins while developing confidence in measuring, mixing and following recipes.

Friday 14 August

Puppet Making

Design and create your own puppet before bringing it to life through imaginative storytelling and play.

Communication Card Making

Create personalised communication cards that encourage self-expression, confidence and communication skills.

Water Play

Enjoy interactive water activities that promote teamwork, confidence and sensory exploration.

Wednesday 19 August

Candle Making

Create your own decorative candle while learning new craft techniques in a safe and supported environment.

Planting and Gardening

Plant seeds, care for flowers and explore nature while learning about gardening and the environment.

Friday 21 August

Cards of Appreciation

Design thoughtful cards for friends, family or carers, encouraging kindness, gratitude and creativity.

End of Summer Celebration

Celebrate the end of Summer Uni with music, games, activities and a fun party to recognise everything achieved throughout the programme.
