Our Bell Lane Universal Plus programme provides a welcoming, supportive and inclusive environment where young people with SEND can enjoy a wide range of creative, practical and social activities throughout the summer holidays.
The programme has been carefully designed to help young people build confidence, develop new skills, express their creativity and make new friendships in a safe and enjoyable setting.
Alongside the planned activities below, young people will also have access to arts and crafts, sports, films, games and PlayStation every day.

Working together as a group, young people will create a large collaborative artwork using a variety of creative techniques. This special legacy piece will remain on display at Bell Lane Youth Centre, giving everyone the opportunity to contribute to something lasting.
Using acrylic paints and marker pens, young people will create their own abstract canvas, following step-by-step guidance to produce a finished piece to take home.
Decorate biscuits using colourful icing and toppings while developing creativity, confidence and fine motor skills.
Create colourful artwork using blending techniques and stencils to explore different artistic styles and creative expression.
Measure, mix and decorate delicious rice crispy cakes while learning simple cooking skills.
Create sensory toys using a range of textures and materials, encouraging creativity and sensory exploration.
Decorate cupcakes using colourful icing and toppings while developing creativity and fine motor skills.
Create a decorative paper lantern using decoupage techniques with PVA glue. Young people will take home a unique lantern that can be used as a decoration or lampshade.
Prepare and decorate pancakes while learning basic cooking skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Continue developing painting techniques by creating another abstract canvas using acrylic paints and marker pens.
Explore a variety or fruits through tasting, preparing and creative activities that encourage healthy eating and sensory exploration.
Take part in fun dance activities that encourage movement, confidence and self-expression.
Learn the basics of baking while developing practical kitchen skills and teamwork.
Experiment with different ingredients to create your own slime while enjoying sensory play.
Prepare and create simple pastries while learning practical cooking skills.
