Local Offer for Care Leavers

This is the guide that all local authorities are required to provide you with. It contains information about the services and support that Care Leavers are entitled to and able to access within their local authority.

We will update this information regularly as new services and entitlements are agreed.

Enfield Care Leavers Team

Who We Are

Enfield Care Leavers Team is here to help you get ready to live on your own. We are your main source of support. Even if you don’t have a Social Worker or Personal Advisor anymore, you can ask them for any information or advice you need.

Who We Help

We work with young people who have been in care or are still in care, from age 16 to 25.

Our Team

The team has:

  • Social Workers
  • Personal Advisors
  • Specialist Workers

Personal Advisors will normally start helping you when you turn 18 and become an adult. You can learn more about their jobs in the glossary section of this Offer.

Pathway Plan

Every 6 months as a minimum, you and your Social Worker or Personal Advisor will look at and update your Pathway Plan. This plan helps you decide what goals you want to reach and how we can help you. We will check your plan regularly to see if you met your goals, if you need more time or if we need to set up new ones.

Our Goals for You

We want to help you reach your goals and make sure you get the right support to do so. This guide focuses on 6 important life goals to help you become independent:

  1. Stay healthy
  2. Build positive and supportive relationships
  3. Engage in education, training, or work
  4. Find and keep long-term accommodation
  5. Access information, participate in society, and have influence
  6. Manage your money well

If you need help outside normal hours or at weekends, you can call Enfield’s Emergency Duty Team on 020 8379 1000.

The Hub is on the ground floor of our office at Thomas Hardy House, 39 London Road, EN2 6DS. It is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but some activities might happen at different times.
