About Us: 

At the Youth Development Service (YDS), we’re on a mission to provide engaging, educational leisure activities and support to all young people. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment where young people aged 11 to 19 (up to 24 for SEND or care leavers) can thrive, learn, and grow. Our programs focus on instilling vital life skills, offering recognised qualifications, and fostering a sense of community.

What You’ll Do: 

As a Casual Youth Support Worker, you’ll play a crucial role in executing high-quality individual and group intervention programs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inspiring Growth: Help young people improve their life, social, and vocational skills through tailored support.
  • Facilitating Learning: Plan, deliver, and evaluate interactive sessions – both informal and accredited – to meet the diverse needs of youth.
  • Building Connections: Establish professional relationships and boundaries that promote trust and respect.
  • Recognising Achievement: Assist in guiding young people to gain nationally recognised awards and qualifications.
  • Tracking Progress: Document young people’s outcomes and celebrate their successes in line with service expectations.
