If someone is making you feel unsafe, pressured, controlled or disrespected, you can get help.

What You Can Ask for Help About

You can reach out if:

  • Someone is checking your phone or controlling what you do
  • You’re being pressured into something you don’t want
  • You’re being threatened or made to feel small
  • Someone is posting about you or spreading rumours
  • You’re getting unwanted messages
  • Something online is making you uncomfortable
  • Home does not feel safe
    If something feels wrong, it is okay to talk about it.

Who You Can Speak To

You can speak to a youth worker, mentor, trusted teacher, safeguarding lead or someone at home.
If talking to someone you know is difficult, use one of the services below:

Supporting a Friend

If you are worried about someone:

  • Listen
  • Do not judge
  • Tell them it is not their fault
  • Encourage them to get help
  • Tell a trusted adult if they may be in danger
