Youth Leadership Academy 2026

Are you aged 14 to 19 and ready to make your voice count?

The Youth Leadership Academy 2026 is a high-energy, two-day AQA-accredited leadership programme built for young people who want more than just another workshop. This is where confidence grows, ideas turn into action, and young people start shaping what actually happens in their community.

You’ll build real leadership skills, learn how to speak with confidence, work as a team, make decisions, and back yourself. Whether you already see yourself as a leader or you’re still finding your voice, this programme gives you the tools, mindset, and platform to level up.

This isn’t about sitting back and listening. You’ll be challenged, supported, and pushed to think bigger about what you can achieve.

What you could go on to do

Young people who complete the Academy can progress into exciting leadership opportunities, including:

• Summer Uni Young Leaders – helping decide how tens of thousands of pounds are invested into summer activities for young people and shaping what those programmes look like.
• Young Inspectors – visiting youth services, giving honest feedback, and helping improve what’s offered to young people across the borough.

You’ll also gain a recognised qualification that strengthens your CV and future opportunities.

Leadership Introduction Session: Wednesday 11 February, 5pm to 6pm
Leadership Course: Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 February, 10am to 3pm
