Hi there! I’m happy to tell you about Enfield’s new plan to help young people who are leaving care.

What’s New?

We know growing up can be hard, so we want to give you all the support you need.

In November 2023, Enfield Council decided to provide you with protected characteristics as a Care Leaver. This means we recognize the challenges you face and want to give you the best opportunities and support.

How We Can Help

Enfield Council is here to support you. We want to help you get ready to live on your own. We’ll work with you to make a plan for your future. This plan will help you decide what you want to do and how we can help you reach your goals.

About This Guide

This guide was made with help from other young people who are also Care Leavers. It tells you about your rights and the help you can get until you turn 25. Some help is just for Care Leavers, and some is for everyone. You can get help from the Council or from other agencies we work with.
